Wonderful. Real good food. Ambience is also nice. Staffs are very friendly.
Amazing food and ambience. The pricing is too good to be true
Perfect place to enjoy some authentic Mangalorean cuisine. The place is very well lit and neatly maintained in one of the prime locations in the city. For starters, Basa Fish Kabab is super tasty. For the main course, Mutton ghee roast with neer dosa is a must try. The service is prompt and they are a Zomato Pro partner as well !! Couldn't ask for a better deal.
Highly recommended
Taste and quality has gone down over a period of time. Lacks the feeling of a authentic Mangalorean experience...
Amazing coastal food. Must try!!
Very old authentic Kerala and Mangalore cuisine
Simply awesome
Squid chilly fry and Egg masala is the best I've had in Bangalore. Appams and ghee rice were great too. Definitely worth going there. The food was very flavourful loved it
Good food, little sad environment as it's too silent and guests can clearly hear what other guests are talking. Place need some new interior.
amazing food , amazing ambience and very reasonably priced
Great Mangalorean Food. Good ambience and hygienic place.
Had creme brulle. Awesome as usual. Beef sukka is very good starter.
Best place in Bangalore to have appam and stew
Quantity is really good. Food was delicious.
No consistency. And don't even think of trying their ghee roast biryani. Does not have a hint of ghee roast smell or taste
Appam and chicken curry.. The best combination at Tom's
Delicious food; service with smile...
A calm place for couple and group to have delicious foods
The place is old. The chicken curry and pork vindaloo was the best. The ghee roast I've had better. The service is slow and dessert is a big no.
After 21 years in Bengaluru I decided to finally step into the new Tom's restaurant which had been relocated due to Namma Metro work. Ordered typical Konkan fare. Sannas, appam, Kerala parotta, Prawns curry and Prawns fry. Everything was good. The Sannas especially was super hot and exciting to eat as it soaked in the prawns curry and the succellent prawns made my tongue go dancing. It was lip smacking moments. Kerala parotta was also a nice. The gentleman Peter running the place was very friendly and gave right advices for selecting my dishes. He kept enquiring if we were enjoying. The staff was very courteous and fantastic quick service. Wld definitely come back to enjoy the warmth of the hospitality and have a riot with my tongue. Happy eating!! Don't forget to check out the creme brulee..
Hotel Tom's Restaurant has been synonymous with quality and authentic Mangalorean cuisine for a long time now. Their legacy speaks for themselves. This particular restaurant situated in Brigade Road provides you with a kind of "Old British Era" vibe with dark green and white coloured seating arrangement and decor. The place looks quite great and better, compared to their other restaurant situated in Koramangala. Coming to the service, the manager was quite friendly and helpful. He made sure that we had a good experience over there. Furthermore, the waiters were very humble and well behaved. Lastly, the food was quite great. Not only the starters but also the main course and the desserts were amazing. The dishes I personally loved were: Bangada Ambot Tik Curry Basa Fish Kabab Tom's Special Chicken Curry Prawns Chilly Chocolate Ganache Créme Brulee In a nutshell, if you want to try authentic Mangalorean cuisine, this should be at the top of your bucket list. DEFINITELY WORTH A VISIT!
Have visited this restaurant so many times.. I should thank the owner of the restaurant for the authentic taste. No words to describe the taste. Experience it! Try Crème brûlée
An Authentic Mangalorean Restaurant with Good Food and a good ambience. car parking is available which is a big relief in Brigade Road.
I really like the typical kerala yummy food and the place is nicely done
This is my second visit to Tom's restaurant. It is located in a prime location with amazing ambience and wonderful decor. To start with we ordered the chicken ghee roast, the smell of ghee and those amazing flavours. Then I tried the prawns ghee roast which has very distinct flavours from that of chicken. Then I ordered the basa fish kebab, which was a little too oily but marinated very well. Amazing flavours. Then we ordered the squid pepper fry which was just fantastic. Coming to the main course, I had the Kerala paratha with beef sukka and even some neer dosas along with it. That's the highlight and the only reason for me to go back there. In desserts we had the brownies with ice cream and fruit salad with ice cream. Visit this place for some amazing food!
If you ever feel like tasting Authentic Mangalorean Dishes Tom's Restaurant is definitely the place to go. The place has a Victorian era vibe with the White coloured Brick Walls, old furnitures. The Food is really really really good. From Starters down to the Dessert Section its Delicious. If you ever go to this place, here's my Recommendations; 🔸️ South Indian Filter Coffee 🔹️ Chicken Ghee Roast 🔸️ Prawn Ghee Roast 🔹️ Squid Pepper Fry 🔸️ Seer Fish Tava Fry 🔹️ Beef Sukkha 🔸️ Chicken 65 🔹️ Malabar Paratha 🔸️ Tom's Special Chicken Curry 🔹️ Neer Dosa 🔸️ Cremé Brulee 🔹️ Butterscotch Icecream
Take a break from fast food and enjoy the classics from Tom's Restaurant which serves one of the best South Indian food in town. The ambience is posh and very relaxing. Mangalorean and sea food based restaurant, this outlet will delight you in all possible ways. Prawn ghee roast with neer porotha is a deadly combination! They have great vegetarian starters as well. Another appetizer is squid pepper fry which is spicy and scrumptious. Main course has a great varieties. I tried their Chicken baffath which was perfectly tender and had a great mix of spices. Desserts are delicious but not South Indian classical ones. However from service to food everything is good enough to dine in with your family and friends.

If you want to try authentic mangalorean cuisine, then must visit Tom's restaurant. They are serving only non veg items like sea food, chicken, mutton, beef, pork etc. It has 2 outlets one is in Brigade Road & another is in Kormangala. simple designed interior.. It is designed like a old palace. Specious though. Staffs were very courteous. I tried a lot of dishes.. All were very unique in taste with mangalorean touch. basa fish kebab was soo good and fresh. Crunchy outside & super soft inside. Also had tawa fried bangda fish. It was Also super fresh n good. Masala fried prawn & chilli fried prawn.. Both were too yummy, spicy. Their ghee roast mutton was superb n amazing... Soo tender mutton pieces. Also tried their neer dosa and ghee roast prawn which super Yumilicious. Appam & Tom's spl. chicken curry was also too good. Their ghee roast prawn biryani was just woow.. Soo yummy & spicy with juicy prawns. Also tried their mussels sukkah which was also good. Must try their sannah. It's like super fluffy, soft & spongy cake lyk which was soo good. Also they are serving some amazing desserts. 1st one is choco caramel ganas, basically it's a choco brownie topped with caramel which was too good. & next one is Creme Brulee which was the star dessert of dat evening. It was just woow & super amazing. All over my experience with authentic mangalorean cuisine was good. Must visit guyz.. U will definitely love it 👍
It is always a pleasure to visit Tom's because they serve some great mangalorean food and ever since I've been a fan of the beef sukka with Kerala parota! When I got seated, I first placed an order for prawns ghee roast. They were not in a red masala but somewhat on the yellowish side. However, the chicken ghee roast was in a traditional red masala. Both of them tasted great, one seemed to have Lesser ghee than the other though. However, both of them tasted really delicious. Then I decided to try some Squid pepper fry, do make sure you have them super hot because once they get cold - it will taste rubbery. The chicken 65 here is batter fried, tossed in a sauce. So do think twice before ordering. The flavours of curry leaves are on point nonetheless. They also have a Chinese menu other than their main menu, however I would highly recommend that you stick to the mangalorean dishes. For main course, I relised the neer dosas with some chicken baffath. To end the meal, I had their signature oreo creme brulee. The brownie with ice cream is too good but they had almost run out of the same as it's a hot seller. You can also try out their shakes and a fresh like soda is always a to go drink!
This place is famous for their mangalorean cuisine. Loved everything about it. The place gives you the feels of proper old english place, they serve good food with their good history. Their seafood is a must try. All their dishes are excellently served to perfection. And their desserts are amazing. Loved their Cream Bruleë and their Caramel fudge brownie was so delicious with melt in the mouth chocolate and amazing scoop of butterscotch ice cream. I am so glad that they did not serve a vanilla scoop. Their ghee roast biryani is amazing, and I loved their prawns masala fry. That has to be one if my favorite their. They even have amazing neer dosa, appams and sanna(tiny idlis) a mangalorean delicacy. I would definitely go back there to try their beef and pork items.
Tom's restaurant is the best place to go and enjoy a typical Manglorean cusine. This place ambience is so classic and gets the feel of the vintage. Located in brigade road this place serves lip smacking ghee roast cusines and non veg cusine also. We tried the paneer ghee roast and mushroom pepper dry and both were so perfectly cooked and satisfied our palates. The parotta is also cooked and made well and the veg gravy was blended with the perfect spices and cooked to perfection. The ghee rice served here is made with the big size rice grain and not the normal small one. The ghee rice was was also promising. Now talking about the desserts, I don't expect that Tom's had something amazing hidden under their hood !!! Cream brulë was so so so good that I myself had 3 cups of it, the fruit salad with icecream was amazing done with fresh vegetables, the hit brownie fudge was also good Over all Tom's is the best place to have Manglorean cusine . So try their neer dose and sundas ( idlies )
Tom's is a place you can look up to if you want to taste Mangalore Cuisine. Very Classy interior with britush influence in its decor with a contemporary touch will give you a soothing effect. The dish kabab, the prawn tawa fry, the prawn chilly, Seer Fish Fry, the Appams, Bangda Ambot Teek, Sanna ( Mangalorean Idli), the Prawn Ghee Roast, the Mussels were all a delight to the senses. The dishes has Perfectly balanced flavours without any overpowering ingredients. Talking about Desserts we had Chocolate Caramel Ganache and Creme Brulee were like the icing on the cake and a perfect end to the meal. While the chocolate caramel ganache was gooey while creme Brulee was creamy and a delight.
Tom's is basically a sea food restaurant, which has elaborate Menu. The dishes are mouthwatering & the service & presentation is excellent. Few of the dishes like ghee rice, mashroom peper dry, Paneer ghee roast are excellent. Tharle Ashish recommends you to visit Tom's.
Good place to eat....sometimes the portion is less. If not almost all the food served it good..
So recently i was craving for some mangalorean cuisine, and from recommendations i went to this place. The first impression of the place was great. The moment you walk, the glass door slides upon for you. The ambiance was so lavish, and the thing i liked most was the silence. No music, no noise, only you and the food. We ordered lime soda first and then we ordered beef masala, chicken ghee roast, mutton pepper fry, and mussels sukha, and had these with appams. The combination was amazing. The basa fish fry was astonishing, tender juicy and soft. Next we tried the combination of jeera rice and beef curry, which was the best, it was indeed heavenly. The prawn biryani was also perfect and filling. To put icings on the cake we ordered cream brulee, and it was a perfect treat. The people are so nice and great. Really great service. My recommendations: chicken ghee roast and appam Jeera rice and beef curry. Food: 5/5 Service 5/5 Ambiance 4/5
Food was decent.. Doesn't live up to the hype
Great ambiance, Good service, Good taste
Authentic Mangalore Style and Kerala Food Had been here on a Saturday. It’s their relocated spot. They had to give way for the upcoming Metro. Firstly decent parking available at the basement. Not that crowded. Soup was good. Their signature chicken ghee roast and fish kebabs were good. Light on the pocket. Parrotta with Veg Kofta was good. Their Seer fish gravy was a choice. To sum it up, more people should patronise these old restaurants Overall great service and value for money. PS. Their manager suggested the Creme Brûlée, really worth it. On the other hand they should serve a larger portion of the neer dosa. Should try for all locals.
Excellent food and service.
The food tasted awesome, in specific Goan menu
Tom's is a legendary Bangalore eatery specializing in Coastal cuisine. It has a mix of Mangalorean, Coorgi & Kerala styles. They have changed their location due to the metro construction but the taste is exquisite as ever. Loved the Mackarel Ambotik. It made a great combination with Sanas & pairs well with rice too. I was pleasantly surprised by the desserts which were on par with specialist bakeries. It should definitely be in your visit list if you're a seafood lover.
Pricey for the portions, but tasty. Food is well made and very tasty.
Probably run by the famous Vellara family . Predominantly Mangalurian and Kerala style. Great food , decent crowd , beautiful ambience . Toilet maintanence could be better though hence the 4 stars.
The service and food were wonderful
Amazing food! Laid back ambience, must try prawn ghee roast biryani
Amazing food, prawns fry and ghee roast biryani were so delicious and melt in mouth, will be visiting again soon
